MTData had the pleasure of welcoming the Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews, to our head office in Mulgrave on the 1st July 2022.

Premier Andrews discovered in person how MTData is able to design and deliver high quality technology and services, that are important to supporting the Transport and Logistics industry, a vital service sector.

With a manufacturing history that has always been located in Mulgrave, the Premier’s tour of MTData explored this history through the advanced progression of technology hardware over the decades. MTData has been designing solutions for nearly 20 years for various industries operating heavy vehicles and Premier Andrews was impressed with our customer retention rate of over 99%. This high rate is achieved through constant product development to keep our products the most advanced in the market, helping customers to reduce costs, increase productivity and improve compliance.

Our manufacturing and engineering process is an insight into how we constantly evolve and innovate technology, and our future plans for vehicle IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Our next generation telematics hardware is almost fully developed and we were excited to share with the Premier the new technology we have developed including a smart camera capabilities and sophisticated new data analytics module on fleet performance. The new smart camera utilises AI and ML technology, to maximise road safety with facial recognition to detect driver distraction and drowsiness, proactively assisting in preventing accidents. With an all-in-one telematics core, the new technology collects all of the data into one centralised platform and provides key performance insights for fleet operators to make critical decision to accelerate the success of their business. With 4G and 5G capabilities, the data is more accessible than ever on faster networks.

With over 100 employees in Victoria’s head office location, the teams are specially formulated with talents dedicated to either building, delivering, or supporting Australian businesses with telematics solutions. Premier Andrews met and spoke to some of our teams and experts, who were able to share their passion and knowledge on what they do to build our product solutions. MTData is not only proud to have a high customer retention, but also high employee retention, with long tenures impressing the Premier when meeting staff.

Our benefit as an Australian business, is that our technology is designed, built and supported in Australia to guarantee local transport operators that MTData solutions are built just for them. The Premier’s priority in recognising all key players in essential services is a testament that Victoria is heading towards a growing and successful state.

MTData is honoured to have had the privilege of hosting the Victorian Premier at our head office and receive praise for our efforts and passion to help keep Victoria moving, especially during the difficult times of 2020 and 2021. Both the Premier and MTData’s CEO, Matthew Bellizia, applauded and congratulated the employees of MTData for the hard work and accomplishments over the years, emphasising that the success of the company is only achieved with their passion and contributions.

Now more than ever, it is critical that the transport and logistics industry is moving smoothly. As telematics and digital systems becomes more important and essential to transport operators, MTData is dedicated to pursuing new technology and quality solutions to help businesses overcome the challenges of the future, with our next generation technology around the corner.
