Mass Management &
Smart On-Board Mass
Maximise payload and avoid over-mass infringements with the dedicated on-board Mass Management solution. Drivers can input mass declarations via the in-vehicle tablet, Talon, or if vehicles are fitted with electronic scales with data output capabilities, the weights will automatically display to the driver. The mass and vehicle configurations can be defined by operators. If a driver declares weight over the allowable limit, they will be prompted with an over-mass warning.
Our Smart On-Board Mass (OBM) solutions are approved to integrate with a range of digital scale systems including:

- LoadSmart
- Loadman
- Tramanco
- Right Weigh
For vehicles that are not required to have Smart OBM, our standard Mass Management solution also integrates with:

Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA): Level 2 Assurance
MTData is an approved service provider for Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA), providing a flexible, cost effective approach to managing vehicle access through telematics. TMA reduces red tape and lowers boundaries to additional mass and access benefits for high productivity vehicles that are rated low to medium risk. MTData also monitors Performance-Based Standards (PBS) Vehicle Scheme as part of our TMA service.
TMA monitors parameters of location, time and identity with optional features including monitoring mass and vehicle configuration and self-declaration of data through Talon. TMA can be required for heavy vehicles operating under Notice or Permit.
Road Infrastructure Management (RIM): Level 1 Assurance
MTData offers Road Infrastructure Management (RIM) as an application providing a new way to collect road use data from vehicles with the aim to better inform and optimise the management of road networks. MTData is a certified provider for RIM as a low-cost application that monitors parameters of location, time and identity. RIM can be required for heavy vehicles operating under Notice or Permit.
