We are pleased to announce that MTData’s Smart Onboard Monitoring (OBM) integration with Right Weigh scales has been officially approved by Transport Certification Australia (TCA), marking a significant milestone in our pursuit of excellence!
Right Weigh scales joins MTData’s Smart OBM line up and brings Bluetooth scale technology to fleet operations. This approval means that we now offer a comprehensive lineup of seven approved Smart OBM solutions.

A Smart OBM system automatically sends data of a heavy vehicle’s axle-group mass, along with the location at the time of reading, via an IAP or TMA system to Transport Certification Australia at regular intervals to validate compliance at any given time. The location data can also be used to verify any permits associated with a vehicle. With MTData, the in-vehicle screen, Talon, will display the weights to the driver. Fleet Operators can gain near real-time insights, data-driven decision-making capabilities, and enhanced safety measures for drivers.
For transport operators who are not required to have Smart OBM, our standard Mass Management solution also integrates into other scales:
