Precautions and notices

  • This device has been tested and certified to meet the applicable limits for Radio Frequency (RF) exposure. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body.
  • For your own safety, do not operate the controls of the product while driving. Using this product does not exempt the driver from taking full responsibility for their driving behaviour, which includes observing all traffic rules and safety regulations.
  • Make sure the dashcam is positioned in a way that does not obstruct the driver’s view or airbag deployment.
  • Make sure that no object is blocking the camera lens and no reflective material appears near the lens. Please keep the lens clean.
  • Video quality may degrade if the vehicle’s windshield is tinted.
  • If the car’s windshield is tinted with a reflective coating, its surface may be athermic and impact GPS reception. In this instance, please mount the device in a “clear area”.
  • The device will automatically calibrate its G-sensor during start-up. Always turn on the device after it is mounted in place to avoid G-sensor malfunction.

1. Route the cable

2. Affix the dashcam

3. Adjust camera viewing angle

4. Test the camera

1. Route the cable

Route the main cable inside the vehicle, leaving the main connector exposed at where the dashcam is to be installed on the windshield and the other end going toward the vehicle’s power source.

  • Use a multimeter to locate a fuse that supplies power even when the vehicle is turned off (such as the emergency hazard lights and interior/door lights) and connect the yellow wire (B+) to the fuse.
  • Use the multimeter to locate a fuse that does not supply power when the vehicle is turned off (such as the indicator lights) and connect the red wire (ACC) to the fuse.
  • The black wire (GND) must be connected to the vehicle’s ground point. This product may not work properly if it is not grounded.

2. Affix the dashcam

1. The dashcam should be placed near the rear-view mirror to ensure the highest video quality, but never position the device where the driver’s field of vision or the camera lenses can be blocked.

2.Clean the windshield with alcohol wipe prior to mounting the dashcam. Make sure that the windshield surface is dry and free of condensation.
Peel the film off the back of the mounting plate and affix the plate securely onto the windshield. Press on the plate firmly for approximately 30 seconds to ensure it is mounted securely.

The double-sided tape can be replaced if it is no longer adhering to the windshield properly

3.Attach the dashcam to the mounting plate by matching the positions of the mounting holes on the back of the camera with the hooks on the rear plate. Slide the dashcam sideways until it clicks in place.

4.Connect the main connector to the dashcam. Attach the I/O port cover to the dashcam and tighten the screw with the hex key.

5.Cover exposed cable coming out of the dashcam with the cable guide. The number guide can be trimmed to desired length with a pair of scissors. Peel the 3M tape off from the back of the cable guide to adhere it to the windshield.

3. Adjust camera viewing angle

Note: Angle adjustment requires software which is able to connect and provide access to the dashcam’s live view. Refer to step 4.

Loosen the camera locking screw(s) and adjust each camera’s viewing angle using the corresponding line view displayed by the app, then tighten the locking screw(s) to lock each camera’s position once the angle is set.

Note: When adjusting the dashcam’s viewing angle, make sure the vehicle is parked on level ground and the camera’s view is parallel to the ground. The ground to sky ratio should be close to a 50/50 split.

4. Test the camera

5. Do a final check of the unit diagnostics.

The dashcam is equipped with several LED indicators to show the current status of various device operations, including but not limited to recording, GPS, Wi-Fi and network connection status.

Occasionally you may need to perform a hardware reset when the dashcam stops responding. Use a sharp object (such as a straightened paper clip) to press the reset button.

The reset button is only accessible by removing the I/O port cover.
